We Need You!

The mission of the Wayne County Historical Society is to collect, preserve, and interpret artifacts and experiences that reflect the cultural heritage of the county for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations.

Accomplishing this mission is no easy task. It simply cannot be done without the support of our members. The vast majority of our funding comes from private donations (including membership dues). In addition, the majority of tasks carried out on our campus are completed by volunteers with a love of history.

We hope you will consider joining the hundreds of existing WCHS members from Wayne County and beyond who realize the importance of preserving our historical treasures.

Membership Benefits

Effective January 1, 2005,
the following benefits are in effect.

Individual/Couple/Family Benefits

  • Free tours of campus during normal tour hours
  • Free subscription to quarterly newsletter
  • Invitation to our quarterly meetings featuring special programs
  • Invitation to exhibit openings and first notification of special programs
  • Discounted ticket prices to all events
  • Ten percent discount on all WCHS merchandise

Patron Benefits

  • In addition to the above benefits, Patrons receive two guest passes good for a free tour for a non-WCHS member

Benefactor & Life Benefits

  • In addition to the above benefits, Benefactors and Life members receive four guest passes good for a free tour for a non-WCHS member

Corporate Membership Benefits

Effective January 1, 2005, the following benefits are in effect.

  • Free subscription to quarterly newsletter
  • Invitation to our quarterly meetings featuring special programs
  • Invitation to exhibit openings and first notification of special programs

Corporate Silver Benefits

  • In addition to the above benefits, Corporate Silver members will receive 10 guest passes good for a free tour for a non-WCHS member

Corporate Gold Benefits

In addition to the above benefits, Corporate Gold members will receive:

  • 15 guest passes good for a free tour for a non-WCHS member
  • Link from WCHS website to your company’s site
  • Half off the normal price of building rental for your event (plus free tours for all those present)

Corporate Platinum Benefits

In addition to the above benefits, Corporate Platinum members will receive:

  • 20 guest passes good for a free tour for a non-WCHS member
  • Link from WCHS website to your company’s site
  • Use of schoolhouse, rent-free, for your event (plus free tours for all those present)
  • Free inclusion of corporate logo on WCHS newsletter once per year.
